Intensive Outpatient Drug & Alcohol Rehab Treatment Program

“The hardest part of recovery is admitting your relationship with alcohol and/or drugs is unmanageable & unhealthy.” A.D. former client

Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program

Are you thinking of how to…

  • Curb your cravings?
  • Identify your triggers and face them head on?
  • Break free from your ambivalence about abstinence?
  • Get motivated exploring an alcohol and drug-free lifestyle worth living?
  • Get involved in a community that values sobriety?

We now know that alcohol and substance dependence are chronic and progressive brain- based disorders. Physical and psychological dependence is the result of physiological changes in the brain induced from the consistent use of alcohol and/or drugs.

Due to a variety of factors (like genetics, life history, and experience with drugs/alcohol), about 10-15% of the population will cross a line from use to abuse and eventually dependence. If you experience an inability to stop using substances after making previous attempts to remain sober, then our program may be helpful for you.

Through our safe and accepting environment clients let go the shame and guilt associated with misusing substances, having a relapse, or being unable to maintain sobriety. They are given the ability to gain self-confidence and the peace to accept every aspect of themselves.

Opened in 2004, Lasting Recovery is a nationally accredited and highly respected outpatient treatment program for substance use and co-occurring disorders.  Located in Sorrento Valley, we offer intimate groups led by licensed professional staff who create a warm and nurturing environment. Our individualized programs address the unique mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, and social needs of each client.

To recover from the vicious cycle of an alcohol or substance use disorder, we help men and women to:

  • Learn the science behind addiction
  • Become educated on both addiction and mental health
  • Develop tools to prevent a relapse
  • Learn how the mind and chemistry of human interaction impact addiction
  • Recover cherished memories
  • Reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression
  • Learn about 12 step and non 12 step approaches to recovery

Addiction treatment lays the foundation of a sober lifestyle to understand
substance dependence and develop recovery skills.

Lasting Recovery offers two substance abuse IOP tracks:

Morning:   10:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday 3-5 days a week
Evening:     6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday

What makes Lasting Recovery’s IOP and PHP different from other programs in the San Diego
community?

Intensive Outpatient Treatment ProgramDr. Saalinger has been working in the field of addiction and mental health for 35 years, 12 years ago she co-founded Lasting Recovery Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization program to provide integrated services for people with both substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.

From the first phone call to our staff, clients learn they are not alone in adjusting to life without substances. In group treatment, they explore their common stumbling blocks to finding their sober selves and to seeking social support in recovery. Our integrated approach to addiction and abstinence from alcohol and drugs includes 12-step, as well as non-12 step approaches;  evidence based therapeutic techniques, and holistic activities that address the entire person.

What graduates of our program have to say:

“Scared and trembling (literally), I opened up to the process and Lasting Recovery’s (“LR”) program.  In doing so, I gained invaluable wisdom and learned skills and tools to use during both initial recovery and long term as well.”  – Laura

We also offer an entire series of regularly-updated articles, videos, and useful links on our website that can provide invaluable information to both the person seeking treatment, as well as their family members. We invite you to take some time to explore.
